Honda has launched a new variant of its Activa 6G scooter. The name of the new scooter is Honda Activa 6G H-Smart. The highlight of this latest scooter is its H-Smart technology. The new model is the top-end variant of the Activa. The price of the scooter starts from Rs 74,536. The most important feature of this scooter is that it can run without keys. Another highlight of the scooter is its five patented technologies — Smart Key, SmartFind, StartStart, SmartUnlock and SmartSafe. Incidentally, Honda Activa is one of the most popular scooters in the country right now.
The Honda Activa H-Smart scooter comes with an electronic key fob (keyless scooter technology) that allows riders to access multiple electronic features. There is the SmartFind feature, through which you can locate the scooter at the press of a button. Whenever you press the button, the four indicators of the scooter will flash simultaneously. Another interesting feature is SmartStart, which will drive the scooter without the help of a key. A switch will be provided where the key is inserted to operate the scooter. Drivers can drive this new variant of Honda Activa 6G just by flipping that switch.
The most attractive feature of the scooter is the Smart Key. With this smart key, drivers can lock and unlock the scooter without any key. The engine of the scooter can be operated even at a distance of 2 meters from the smart key.
There is also a smart feature called SmartUnlock, which will unlock the handlebars of the scooter. There is also a SmartSafe feature, which will turn off all keyless functions of this scooter and keep the rider safe by activating the traditional locking, starting and other functions of the scooter.
What sets this new 6G H-Smart scooter apart from the previous Honda Activa scooters is the presence of alloy wheels. After 20 years with alloy wheels on a 110cc scooter, any such change to the Activa is truly remarkable.
Honda Activa 6G H-Smart Features and Specifications
Larger wheelbase, larger footboard area, new passing switch and DC LED headlamps are offered. The scooter has also been redesigned for alloy wheels. Riding the H-Smart scooter is going to be more comfortable than other Activa scooters thanks to 12-inch front alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension and adjustable rear suspension.
The scooter is powered by a 110 cc PGM-FI engine, which is OBD2 compliant. It has enhanced smart power technology, which ensures linear power generation. Other important features also include updated programmed fuel injection, enhanced smart tumble technology, ACG starter and friction reduction. Honda claims that these patented technologies have made the scooter's powertrain more efficient.
The Honda Activa 6G H-Smart scooter has been brought to India in a total of three versions — Standard, Deluxe and Smart. These three models are priced at Rs 74,536, Rs 77,036 and Rs 80,537 respectively. According to Honda, the production of the Activa H-Smart scooter will start from the end of this week. On the other hand, the units of the scooter will be delivered to various Honda dealers in the country from the end of this month.
