Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched a new variant of the Burgman Street 125 scooter in the country. The price of the new variant Suzuki Burgman Street EX is Rs 1,12,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). If compared to the current variant, it is almost Rs 22,000 more expensive. Let us tell you that the current Burgman Street 125 scooter costs Rs 89,900. Some feature upgrades and hardware changes have also been made in the new variant.

25mm longer wheelbase

In the new Suzuki Burgman Street EX, you get a bigger 12-inch rear wheel. It is slightly bigger than the previous version. It also gets silent starter system and engine auto start-stop functions. The bigger wheels will add to its stability and comfort. The 25mm longer wheelbase further enhances the riding experience. However, with these updates, the curb weight of the new variant has increased by 1 KG.

The new Suzuki Burgman Street EX scooter comes with three new color schemes namely Metallic Royal Bronze, Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No.2 and Metallic Matte Black No.2. The new standard variant of the scooter is equipped with Suzuki Ride Connect feature, which enables turn-by-turn navigation and mobile communication alerts, linking the console with the rider's smartphone.

Equipped with 124cc engine

The Suzuki Burgman Street EX draws power from the same 124cc, single-cylinder motor as the current variant, but it is 0.1PS less powerful than the current variant. It produces 8.7bhp of maximum power at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The new EX variant of the scooter will be sold alongside the existing model. It will compete with TVS Apache RTR 165 RP, Yamaha MT 125, Aprilia SXR 125 and Honda X-ADV.
