Making a call:

1. Text Message:

SIM————————–You can set validity period, the preferred bearer, message type, reply path,  sent on etc.

Memory status————Show memory used on the phone and SIM card.

Save sent———————–Save/not save all your sent messages.

Message storage————–Select default storage of message, SIM/ phone.

Data account—- Select your data to account for multimedia messages

Edit———- Set slide timing, edit mode, picture resizes, max size, signature, etc.

Sending——- Set the values for validity amount, browse Report, etc.

Retrieve—— Set the values for Home network, Roaming network, etc.

Preferred storage—– Select default MMS storage, phone or memory card.

Memory status————–Show memory used on the phone or memory card.

Apps

1. Locate the item:

The Apps store home page offers several ways to find applications. It showcases different kinds of applications in Featured and Categories.

 

Featured: This shows the situation of recommended applications. You may choose one to view its details.

 

Categories: This arranges applications under Featured, Game, New, etc. choose a category to choose the application you require.

 

Also, you can enter the name of an application, and then press Go to find the result

 

2. Download and install:

• you can read its overall rating or comments, view developer’s information, etc.

• For downloading an application, you can download from the application details screen.

• You can check the status of any application that is currently being downloaded using the Downloading tab. This enables you to delete,pause or resume downloading.

• When downloading has finished, you’ll be able to manage your application using the Manager tab. you’ll be able to choose an application then run to install it or Delete to delete it.

When downloading games or applications has finished, the downloaded files may be found in ‘Apps Mgr’. you’ll be able to access and manage your downloaded applications and games from the most menu.

Access video———- -Access video recording mode.

My images————–Go to “My files\Phone” or “My files\Memory card” to view the photos you have taken.

Storage———————You can choose saving location if microSD cards inserted.

Restore default——–Return all settings to default values

Once you have taken a photo, you can send your photo by Bluetooth,MMS, assign it to a contact, set as wallpaper, or go to “My images” to view it.

Video

Framing mode

When you enter the “Video” function through “Camera\Options\Access video”, you are in Framing mode. Use the mobile screen as a viewfinder and press “Options” for the customizing Night mode, Video quality, Color mode, Record audio, EV, Storage, to Access camera and “My videos”.

 

Recording mode

Once you have chosen your settings, you can start recording your video clip by pressing the key.

After shooting a video, you can choose to send your video by MMS, Bluetooth or go to “My files\My videos” to view it. In the list of “My videos”, press “Options” to rename the video, copy to phone or memory card, etc.

 

Music

You can access this feature from the main menu by selecting “Music”. You will have full flexibility of managing music on your mobile and SD car.

Images

A library links to the images (stored in “My images”) on phone or SD Card to multi-mark, set as wallpaper, power on/off the display and incoming Call image or sent by MMS, Bluetooth. Press an image once to view it in full screen.

Videos

Contains all video clips (stored in “My videos”) on phone or SD card and enables you to play, send, rename, copy, move, delete, etc

 

FM radio

Your phone is capable of using the radio application as a traditional radio with saved channels or with parallel visual information related to the radio program on the display if you tune Visual Radio service. You can listen to it while running other applications.

 

Channel list———————-Open the list of saved stations.

Save channel——————-Save the currently tuned station to the “Channel list”.

Enter Frequency————-Enter the frequency manually.

Auto search———————Start auto search and stations will be automatically saved to “Channel list”.

Alarm:

This phone built-in alarm clock with a snooze feature. You may set above five separate alarms and choose whether or not the alarm should repeat.

Repeat———You may select any one as your needs.

Snooze——–The alarm will repeat at regular intervals.

Alert type—–You may select the mode of Ringtone: Ring only, Vibrate only, Vibration and ring.

Calculator

Access this feature by selecting “Calculator” from the main menu. Enter a number, select the operation  type to perform using the navigation keys  then enter the second number and then select “=” to display the result. Once an operation is complete, you can select “Clear” to clear numbers and carry out a new operation. To return to the main menu, select “Back” To return to the Home screen, press the red button.

 

Calendar

Once you enter this menu from the main menu, there is the monthly view calendar to keep track of important appointments and meetings etc. Days with events entered will be marked.

 

Available options:

View——————See  appointments of the day.

View all—————See all the created appointments.

Point out an event—Make a “To do list” or “New voice alarm”.

Jump to date——–Input the required date and it will be immediately highlighted.

Go to today———-Focus on today’s date.

Notes

You can create a note in text format by accessing “Notes” from the main menu.

 

Options:

View——————-watch created a note.

Edit——————-Edit previously created a note.

Create text note—-Add new text note.

Multi-mark———-Mark/Unmark a tick on a note for further operation.

Delete—————–Delete note

 

Bluetooth

Access this feature by pressing “Menu” by pressing Left softkey on the Home screen to enter in the main menu, then select “Bluetooth”.

 

To useAlcatel 20.12D with a Bluetooth device, you need to perform two  steps:

• Pair and register the device to Alcatel 20.12D

• Select it to use hands-free communication. Only Bluetooth audio device can be connected during the communication.
