Additional details about the less expensive AIR Plus gaming portable series than the NEXT II or SLIDE have been provided by AYANEO. Remember that AYANEO unveiled the AIR Plus in June 2022 with an unidentified AMD Mendocino APU, an Intel Core i3-1215U, and the Intel Pentium Gold 8505. On December 28th, Intel versions of the AIR Plus were initially scheduled to ship, followed by AMD Mendocino variants two months later.

AYANEO fell short of its December forecast for Intel processor variants, though the latter may still be on track. It appears that AYANEO has abandoned the Pentium Gold 8505 model, which would have cost US$ 30 less than the Core i3- 1215U. The Ryzen 7 6800U fills the gap left by the AIR Plus series and joins AYANEO's other modern gaming handhelds, such as the two, in doing so.

According to reports, this model has an exclusive Classic Grey color scheme and a 46.2 Wh battery, which is larger than those found in other AIR Plus models. Although AYANEO has stated that the model will have USB 4 connectivity, a MicroSD card, and 3. 5 mm audio, it's possible that other AIR Plus models will also have these features. According to AYANEO, the AMD Mendocino APU will be the Ryzen 5 7520U rather than the less potent 3 7320U.
For those who aren't aware, AMD's Radeon 610M-branded Ryzen 5 7520U comes with four Zen 2 CPU cores and two RDNA 2 Compute Units( CUs). Currently, AYANEO plans to begin mass production of the AIR Plus series the following month. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the cost of the new Ryzen 7 6800U version, and it is also unknown if the Core i3-1215U and Core 5 7520U variants' prices have changed.
