One of the models rumored to receive the Wear OS 3 upgrade is the Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3. According to earlier rumors, Mobvoi may upgrade all of its Snapdragon Wear 4100-based models to Wear OS 3. This appeared to go against Mobvoi's's earlier claim that by the end of 2023, only the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra and E3 will receive a significant OS update.
There is a lot of promise in the Wear OS 3 upgrade for the Mobvoi smartwatch lineup. Gadgets& Wearables has previously reported that Mobvoi has informed TicWatch users of the release date for Wear OS 3. The Snapdragon 4100 chipset that the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra and E3 models share with the original model of the device are identical. Up until the release of the TicWatch Pro 5, it has been decided that all the other models will remain the same.
The TicWatch Pro 3 is qualified for an OS upgrade, according to a recent clarification from Mobvoi. The Wear OS updates' release date is still a mystery, but Mobvoi claims that this information will be made available on its website. The Wear OS 3 update for Mobvoi smartwatches is anticipated to arrive any soon. Mobvoi had previously indicated Q3 2023 as the start date. However, given that Google may soon release Wear OS 4, this may be unrealistic.
Google is rumored to be planning to introduce Wear OS 4 at the I/ O 2023 event next month. The release of Android 14 and the Google Pixel 7a are additional anticipated I/ O 2023 highlights. How Mobvoi will get around the Wear OS 3 problem remains to be seen. The models will undoubtedly have more clarity in the upcoming days.
