Insta360 AI Tracking Smartphone Stabilizer

Insta360, a well-known camera manufacturer, today unveiled the Flow, an AI-tracking smartphone stabilizer with three-axis gimbal stabilization for content producers. It is marketed as an all-inclusive tool for creating content for smartphones that includes a built-in selfie stick, tripod, and cold shoe.

The Insta360 Flow uses Deep Track 3.0 and mechanical stabilization for shake-free shots, enabling it to follow subjects in real-time and automatically frame images for creators.

The Person Re-Identification feature of Deep Track 3.0 enables the Insta360 Flow to keep track of the same person throughout the recording even when they are hidden from view, and All-Angle Tracking allows it to do so even if the subject's shape changes.

On the other hand, when the subject is out of frame, Tracking Recovery continues to track it by zooming out or moving in the same direction. A Live Mode is also available for tracking live streaming or video calls. It is compatible with apps like TikTok, FaceTime, and Instagram.

The Insta360 Flow also supports Gesture Control, allowing creators to use it as a tripod and start hands- free tracking, eliminating the need to point the camera or press a button.

Speaking of, the Insta360 Flow's built- in tripod can extend up to 80mm( 3.14") in length and has an extended diameter of 187.6mm( 7.38"). Its selfie stick's rod, however, extends up to 215mm( 8.46"). It also has a built- in cold shoe, so you can add a mic for better audio.

With its one-step rapid deploy mechanism, according to Insta360, the Flow unfolds in just one motion, and you can connect your smartphone to it using the magnetic phone clamp that is included with the package.

A SmartWheel with a minimalist design is also included in the all-in-one tool, enabling creators to quickly access various Flow features. With a swipe on the SmartWheel, you can switch between FPV, Auto, Follow, and Pan Follow.

The camera manufacturer claims that the Auto mode, which is exclusive to Insta360 Flow, is ideal for beginners because it automatically adjusts the gimbal settings based on the user's movements for "guaranteed shake-free shots." On the other hand, the FPV mode is designed for daring creators and can be used to spin your smartphone to mimic movements resembling those of a barrel roll.

Panorama, TimeShift, Motion Timelapse, and Dolly Zoom are additional shooting modes. For basketball fans, there is also a Hoop Mode. It saves the highlights as separate clips for simple editing into a reel and uses AI to track the basketball and hoop in order to identify basket formation.

In terms of editing, Insta360 Flow users can edit their videos using the AI-powered shooting and editing tools available in the app. They can also follow Shot Genie's advice for shooting methods based on the situation. For that, there are 80+ templates available. Additionally, FlashCut allows creators to edit video clips and add music with seamless transitions and effects.

The Insta360 Flow has a 2, 900 mAh battery and is said to last 12 hours at 25° C when the gimbal is fully balanced and the surface is flat. It uses a USB-C port to draw up to 10W of power, and it takes two hours to fully charge. It can be used to charge other devices as a power bank as well.

Phones that are 6.9 to 10mm thick, 64 to 84mm wide, and weigh 130 to 300g are compatible with The Flow. It supports both Android and iOS devices and has Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. On the Insta360 website, you can view a list of compatible devices.

Later today, the Insta360 Flow will be available for purchase in the US, Europe, and Japan through the company's official website and Amazon. It is available in Stone Gray and Summit White colors. The retail package, which comes with the magnetic phone clamp, a protective pouch, and an Type C to Type A charging cable, costs$ 159.99.
