The Magic 5 model series from Chinese Honor should soon follow the previous generation, which, by the way, was announced in February last year. In addition to several designs, the Chinese producer will also reveal a variant with the attribute Lite, and its specifications are now the subject of the first leak. It is backed by a fairly reliable Google Play Console database.
A pleasant revival
The device, hidden under the codename HNRMO-Q or RMO-NX1, should receive a front panel with Full HD+ resolution, which will be curved on the sides and a selfie camera will find its place in the upper center. We do not yet know the exact diagonal of the display, but as with the Magic 4 Lite, we can expect a size of around 6.8 inches.
The hardware side is to be represented by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 chipset and 8GB of RAM, which is likely to be complemented by 256GB of internal storage. The user interface will be accompanied by the pre-installed Android 12 operating system. The remaining equipment elements will be revealed gradually in the coming weeks.
The basic Magic 5 can be expected to have at least a 6.8-inch display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a main 50MPx camera or a 5,000mAh battery with 66W charging. However, the last representative of the Magic 4 Lite arrived specifically in April 2022, so the reveal in February and the launch of sales after a 2-month hiatus is not at all unrealistic.
Honor Magic 5 Full phone specifications
By the end of the month, HONOR is expected to launch the next generation of the Magic series, which should come to market under the official name of HONOR Magic 5.
In the past few hours, images have been published on the Net that show us what the design of the back of the new HONOR smartphone should be (the conditional is a must, as there are no guarantees of reliability).
Here's what we can expect from the HONOR Magic 5
In particular, the rendered images published by @SPinfoJP focus on the back where the photographic module is positioned and a quick glance is enough to realize that its dimensions will be quite generous.
According to these images, HONOR Magic 5 will continue to adopt a center-aligned circular camera module, consisting of three sensors positioned in a triangular pattern (one of them should be a periscopic telephoto lens), below which is an LED flash .
The inscription “100x” is imprinted on the camera module, which suggests that zoom will be one of the strong points of HONOR's new smartphone.
In this regard, we recall that the CEO of the Chinese manufacturer, Zhao Ming, recently declared that the smartphones of this series would be made as top models, with particular attention to the photographic sector, communication and safety.
Among the other main features, based on the rumors that have followed one another up to now, a 6.8-inch display with a refresh rate of at least 120 Hz and PWM dimming support, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a body with IP68 certification (resistance to dust and water), support for fast charging at 100W (or 50W in wireless mode) and the customized Magic UI interface.
We are awaiting official information from the manufacturer to find out if and when HONOR Magic 5 will also arrive in Europe and in which price range it will be positioned.
